Here's what came in my email today:
Hey there, this is John. I hope you're having a great weekend. I just thought I would share two sketchy videos I created. They're both around a minute long. The first is called Soy Milk and the other is Bowling Pin. If you enjoy them and want to show me some love, please subscribe to my YouTube Channel.

I've looked at the phrase SOY MILK since 1995 and I never put the SPANISH spin on it. It's like ths shape that is in the FEDEX logo. I never saw or noticed the OTHER until it's pointed out to me.
I want to encourage my students to look broadly. I'm going to show them this doodle. How did you create the "dorky" video? In reality, you are demonstrating three things

1. how to catch attention (with drawings. Dan Pink and Seth Godin point this out)
2. how to look for patterns and be adaptable (I thought SOY was an adjective, but you turned it into a verb in Spanish.... clever)
3. how to notice and bring a grammar pattern from one subject to another subject (from Spanish to biology and English)....
Be nice... it'll be good for your brain and your flexibility. Subscribe to John's youtube channel
