Free ONLINE editing program at BingBanners.com lets students make EXCELLENT Banners (for blogs)

I've captured Dr. Coltea's slogan:  "Hey!  It's 2015!  What's wrong with other schools?  Why do they ban cellphones?  At WHPS, our students USE SMARTPHONES!  Only in America!"

So the main message
The recommendations of Seth Godin are important.  Here is a typical POWERPOINT (lots of text and the audience has to listen to the speaker READ THESE WORDS to us.)

WRONG WRONG WRONG!

Seth Godin wants us to put EMOTION into our talks.  We are there to SELL.

Here is what Seth Godin writes:

Let's avoid READING a
chapter from a book
Be extremely direct in why you are here. (You're here to sell me something, right? If not, please don't waste your time or mine). It might be an idea, or a budget, but it's still selling. If, at the end, I don't know what you're selling, you've failed.

"Orlando is a nice place to visit."
or
"The next time you have to choose between Paris and Orlando, here are five reasons why you should choose Orlando."   That's a good job of selling...

Here is what Seth Godin writes in "Bad Powerpoint" (a free ebook)

Communication is the Transfer of Emotion

A free ebook:

Communication is about getting others to adopt your point of view, to help them understand why you’re excited (or sad, or optimistic or whatever else you are.) It’s awfully hard to do that in a report.

You can wreck a communication process with lousy logic or unsupported facts, but you can’t complete it without emotion. Logic is not enough.  Logic is essential, but without emotion, you’re not playing with a full deck. -- SETH GODIN

Here's how to put emotion in your report or presentation:

Use an excellent photo
Use 5 or 6 words
Tell a story while the audience reads the slide.
Don't read the slide.
15 to 20 seconds per slide.
